Employment Law

We have been involved in some very high profile employment law cases over the last number of years.  Among these clients we have successfully acted for in employment disputes are:

  • The Group Internal Auditor of a leading Financial Institution.
  • The Managing Director of the Irish division of an International Market Research Company.
  • Numerous employees in distribution companies.

If you are having problems in the workplace it is paramount that to seek the best legal advice in relation to your employment rights either as an employee or employer. The most common areas of employment rights in Ireland are Unfair Dismissal and Bullying and Harassment all of which we deal with.

Unfair Dismissal

Unfair Dismissal is when an employee is dismissed from their job in a harsh, unjust or unreasonable manner. Unfair Dismissal can also occur where an employee is unfairly selected for redundancy.

Bulling and Sexual Harassment

Harassment can be both verbal and non-verbal, both physical and psychological. An employer has a duty to investigate all claims of bullying and harassment and must deal with such claims using fair procedures.

Equality and Discrimination

The law protects all employees from discrimination at work on the grounds of gender, nationality, ethnicity, disability or sexual orientation. Employers have a duty of care to their staff and to make sure that the workplace is free of discrimination.
